| Jim Ryun celebrated the anniversary of his world record in the mile by running with the athletes during the open ceremony of the Missouri Valley AAU Track Meet.
Forty years ago, on June 23, 1967, in Bakersfield, California, 20-year old University of Kansas sophomore Jim Ryun broke his own world record in the mile. |
