Lance Lenard Athletic Scholarship

 

Coach Lance Lenard

1969-2016

 

Lance Lenard was head coach for the Northeast Kansas Track Club from 1998 to 2016.  He had a larger than life personality, and his true passion was track and field. He had a pure love for the sport, and coached hundreds of kids of all ages.  He left a mark in the track world and that will always be undeniable. 

 

Coach Lance dedicated countless hours to track athletes of all ages over the years.  He was a coach, mentor and father figure to his athletes.  His passion is missed but his spirit continues to those he coached.

 

He always believed that helping kids go to college on a track scholarship was the reward for all the hard work of the athletes, coaches and parents that support NEK.  When one of his athletes moved on to complete at the college level, he always said “this is why we do what we do”. 

 

To help continue Lance’s legacy of helping track athletes realize their college goals, an athletic scholarship has been established in his name.  If you are a high school senior, a member of a Missouri Valley Track Club and plan to attend college, you are eligible to apply for the Lance Lenard Athletic Scholarship.
